We launched down at the ferry steps in Bantham to go up with a 5.0 metre tide to AG.
The water was crystal clear and for much of the trip we could see the bottom rushing below us.
There were plenty of little egrets, swans and a few herons. We did encounter a few grey mullet jumping and had extensive views up the Avon Valley.
We had a look at the pictograph cliff then continued to the first creek where we fired up the Kelly Kettle to make hot drinks. During the stop the heavens opened.
After tea and cake we continued to the second creek where we explored the flooded field and the canal before finishing at Timbers car park.
